An example of Mass Media firm using noise on purpose.

To begin with, lets define noise.
The noise in communication - is everything that interferes between the speaker and the audience.
There are 3 types of noise:
  1. The Mechanical noise which is coming through the medium through which the communication is taking place.
  2. The Environmental noise is coming through the settings where the communication is taking place.
  3. Semantic noise is when the conversation is held on the language which is not clear for every participant of the communication.
As an example of the noise being used by Mass Media firms on purpose we can take any financial report, for example BBC finance. The program is based on specifically educated people watching it, and if I will watch it I will not understand half of the terminology which is used there. This is a clear example of Semantic noise specifically involved to collect an educated in financial sphere people watching it.
another example of the noise we can take from jconline.com, a popular sports news web site in America. Nathan Baird, one of the sports observers published:
West Lafayette's football players have experienced the cavernous atmosphere of Lucas Oil Stadium, the tense excitement of a state tournament nail-biter on the road and the electricity of 4,000 people gathered to watch the game of the decade.
The Class 3A No. 4 Red Devils, who play host to No. 7 Western Boone in Friday's Sectional 20 semifinals, are no strangers to big-game environments. More importantly, perhaps, they know how to prepare for such games.
"It's really focused at practice this week," said senior lineman Baxter DeBruyn, a starter on West Lafayette's sectional championship squads the past two seasons. " We all know we have a big job to do on Friday. They're a really good team, they've got a lot of big kids, and we all know if we're not 100 percent focused it could be a long night."
The Stars average about 240 pounds across their offensive line, slightly smaller than West Side's 256 average. However, West Side will face that challenge without junior center/linebacker Quinton Skibinski, who will sit out as a precaution after experiencing concussion-like symptoms over the weekend.
Quarterback CJ McMann has thrown for 1,378 yards and 16 touchdowns and also leads in rushing with 770 yards and 10 touchdowns.
"They seem to balance out real well, both passing and running," WL coach Marshall Overley said of Western Boone. "They've got these giant receivers 6-2, 6-3 wide, and the ball will go both ways. You can't say always right or always left in this situation."
West Lafayette was disappointed to commit five turnovers and score just one offensive touchdown against Central Catholic. The Red Devils saw some improvement last week against Crawfordsville -- Amen Galley produced 153 yards and three touchdowns on 13 touches -- but not enough.
"Our first-half game has been pretty solid, but we haven't been able to come out in the second half and perform," DeBruyn said. "If we can be consistent for a whole game then our coaches will be happy and we'll be happy as a unit."
We can see here many terminology, like touchdown, for example. This word are used by the reporter without any explanation on purpose. The idea is to make this report more straightforward to the readers who know Rugby game.
As we can see from above, there are many positive examples of using the noise, but there are negative.
As a more deep usage of the noise by Mass Media we can take speeches of angry celebrities, for for example Corey Tailor from Slipknot metal band or James Hatfield from Metallica. Both of them use bad words in their speech but most channels who are transmitting their interviews replace their words by "beep" sound or signal crash to hide the original word because of censorship.
